Her first love was to her beloved husband of 63 years, Freddie Lee Belcher; her daughter, Jill Belcher Cerankowski; and her grandchildren, Jeffrey Dalton and Kyle Dalton.
Willowbrook Baptist Church was her home church for most of her adult life. She loved this church because it gave her the opportunity to spread the love of Jesus is so many ways over the years. Her "go to" way to love on others was to pray for them. This was not your typical token prayer or even a promise to pray at some time. No, this was . . . RIGHT HERE - RIGHT NOW . . . intense prayer. Lou would often be praying for a person before they could finish the story. It did not matter who or where - there was going to be a prayer . . . power . . . tears . . . change.
Another way she showed the love of Jesus was through her story-telling via plays and productions. Christmas and Easter plays were her favorites. She would often tell her close friends and family she would "hear from God" in a dream or vision and she would purpose to bring that vision to the people - through the people - by way of these plays.
